Hello and great to see you here. My name is Eva-Maria and I am a passionate traveller who has stopped counting countries after having visited half of the world. I have created Evalita on the go to share my experiences with other travelistas and to take you to outstanding places I have been to. Exploring cities and foreign countries but likewise getting inspired in my own territory fuels my soul. Testing hotels and restaurants, meeting great chefs, exchanging recipes, discovering unusual places and talking to people from around the globe is what keeps me going when I travel. I love to just take a bike and explore all corners of a city at my own pace and to find this little café in the middle of nowhere with the cake you’ll never forget. I love Tokyo by night, the medina in Fes, the ricefields around Ubud, a stroll through Paris St. Germain or the fish market in Busan. The Louisiana Museum near Copenhagen, the Dune du Pyla in Arcachon or the Eames house in California inspire me as much as a walk on the Great Wall in China. When it comes to food I could die for most of Japanese and Italian dishes, be it a black cod, an Okonomiyaki, a Gyoza, a burrata with vegetables or a homemade pasta with garlic and olive oil. I never say No to a Moscow mule or a Green Chartreuse and could live on Champagne. Among my favourite authors are Haruki Murakami, Sybille Berg, Hakan Nesser and Thomas Glavinic. Of course there is more to know about me, but I am sure you will find out quite a bit by following me on my journey.
Life is too short to drink bad wine – enjoy!
Yours Evalita on the go
